The Go-Giver...

Hello Again,

Early this morning, I watched video of a historical perspective of a glyconutrient company that I fancy but cannot mention by name due to compliance regulations. The reason that I mention the video is because in addition to the historical perspective, the CEO also spoke about a powerful new book called The Go-Giver. The sub-title is "A Little Story About A Powerful Business Idea". The principles from the book really struck a cord with me. I can't wait to get a copy and read it myself.

I hope that it will be a blessing to you as well.

Blessings to you on your journey toward a better quality of life.

What do you do with a scurvy pirate? Make him ...

My children recently watched the Pirate Treasure TV episode of the Backyardigans. My children since then have often run around playfully singing the following chant from that episode.
"What do you do with a scurvy pirate? ... Make him walk the plank."
This morning that chant made me think. I looked up the definition of scurvy at dictionary.com. It turns out that there are two basic definitions. The first, a noun refers to a disease resulting from a lack of absorbic acid (vitamin C). The second, an adjective means contemptible or the like. I wondered if the adjective was derived from men feeling miserable from the disease.

That made me wonder how many other diseases that result from poor nutrition. Of course, Wikipedia came to my rescue. Wow!!! Mom was right. Eat your veggies. Of course our government via the RDA suggests a minimum we get a minimum intake of nutrition as well.

Have a grape day!
